Product range. Womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear; effortless sport-luxe footwear and accessories The signature line of Tommy Hilfiger is made up of preppy wardrobe staples: fitted blazers, polo shirts, jumpers and roll-necks, jeans, trousers, and cardigans. Two-piece suits are also available, but are no more than an exclusion. Hilfiger Denim, a diffusion line, is aimed at younger demographic and covers casual clothes for leisure time: relaxed fit T-shirts and sweatshirts, denim shirts and regular fit jeans.

Originality. Tommy Hilfiger has changed little over the years and still favours time-honoured styles and a recognizable palette of dark blue, white, red, and black.

Chic. Tommy Hilfiger has been the label of choice for several generations of affluent straight-A students.

Pricing. A little pricey, but affordable. Trousers are available for €150 to €200, shirts are €150, dresses are from €150 to €300; a piece of outerwear costs €300 to €450; bags, on average, are €150 to €450, footwear is €75 to €300.

Corporate history highlights. In 1971, Tommy Hilfiger opened his People's Place store that offered a clever blend of timeless elegance and comfortable sportswear. The concept proved a success, and although People's Place went bankrupt six years later, this experience encouraged Tommy to launch his namesake brand in 1985.
