Durable footwear for the whole family for comfortable walking
Review of ECCO
Product range. Footwear for women, men, and kids. ECCO is distinguished by its functionalism: form follows function. So, while ECCO's designs may lack creativity, this is the price to pay for the footwear that is unsurpassed when it comes to climbing and leaping over puddles without the fear of getting your feet wet.
Originality. All ECCO shoes come with an anatomically shaped construction remarkable for its snug instep and loose fit over the forefoot that allows toes to spread out naturally, which is of particular importance to kids. This 'freedom fit' allows the foot to breath, provides better protection from the cold, and makes walking more comfortable. One of the core competences of ECCO is its high-tech approach to making flexible and durable soles that ensure the necessary friction between the shoes and the ground.
Chic. Ecco favours utterly neutral, sporty and demure time-honoured styles.
Pricing. On the pricey side, but the average price doesn't exceed €100.
Corporate history highlights. ECCO was established in 1963, when Karl Toosbuy launched a modest shoe factory in Bredebro, Denmark. A family-owned enterprise started out as a small team of a dozen of workers. The brand's vision, that of making shoes that follow the foot and not vice versa, never changed since the early days of the company.
