Relatively affordable chic leather accessories to show off

Review of Furla

Product range. The first thing that comes to mind when you think of Furla is its classic handbags. Also on offer are wallets, belts, gloves, eyewear, timepieces, scarves, and miscellaneous nice trifles. The company also makes a limited range of women’s footwear that includes court shoes, kitten heels, ballet flats, and sandals. In 2006, Furla introduced its Furla Uomo collection that covers a range of briefcases, laptop bags, wallets, document holders, duffle bags, and carry-ons.

Originality. Furla tends to source exotic leathers like that of crocodile, python, and ostrich, as well as nappa leather. To ensure high quality, Furla manufactures up to 90% of its products in Italy, not in China.

Chic. Furla is anything but conservative. The company actively collaborates with young promising designers and even launched Furla Talent Hub project in 2007 to encourage them to design collections for the brand. Time-honoured styles are often reissued in surprising colourways with the prints that teeter on the brink of kitsch.

Pricing. Relative to other handbag specialists, Furla is quite affordable with the price tags of €100 and above.
